These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Luan Bajrami ("Developer," "we," "our," or "us"), the developer and operator of the Quizia mobile application ("the App").
How you accept. When you first open the App, and again whenever these Terms or the Privacy Policy change in a way that requires it, the App shows you a screen with links to both documents and asks you to confirm your year of birth. By tapping "Agree & continue" on that screen you accept these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not tap the button and do not use the App.
What we record. Each acceptance is recorded on our servers: the versions of the documents you accepted, the time of acceptance, the year of birth you confirmed, and technical details of the request (app version, platform, operating system version, language, IP address and user agent). We keep that record as proof of this agreement, including after you delete your account — the Privacy Policy explains how long.
Versions. Each version of these Terms is identified by its effective date. The version you accepted is the one that applies to you until you accept a newer one (see Section 17).
Quizia is a free-to-play, real-time multiplayer quiz game. The App allows you to:
The App is provided free of charge. There are currently no real-money in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements. Owls can only be earned through play — they cannot be bought with, or exchanged for, real money. If we ever introduce paid features, these Terms will be updated first and you will be asked to accept the new version before they apply to you.
To use Quizia, you must either create a full account (with an email and password, or by signing in with Google or Apple) or play as a guest. You agree to:
Guest accounts: you may play Quizia without registering by choosing "Play as Guest." Guest accounts use anonymous authentication and are assigned an auto-generated username and avatar. Guest accounts have limited functionality — you cannot access friends, challenges, or the full leaderboard features. You may convert a guest account to a full account at any time by linking an email and password or a Google/Apple account; all your game data (match history, ratings, XP, achievements, Owls) is preserved. Signing out of a guest account is irreversible — anonymous accounts cannot be signed back into, so signing out permanently deletes the account and all associated data.
Usernames: must be 3–16 characters, containing only letters, numbers, and underscores. We reserve the right to reject, change, or remove any username or display name that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be offensive, misleading, impersonating another person, or in violation of these Terms. Usernames and display names are visible to other players and, on leaderboards, to the public.
One account per person: you may only maintain one active Quizia account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, evade bans, or circumvent restrictions is prohibited.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, whether with a full account or as a guest. The App asks for your year of birth before you can play, and refuses access if the answer indicates that you are under 13. By using the App you represent and warrant that the year of birth you entered is true and that you meet this requirement.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or under the age of majority where you live), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and permits you to use the App. If you live in a country of the European Economic Area where the law sets a higher age for consenting to online services on your own, your parent or legal guardian must give any consent the App asks for (such as consent to push notifications) on your behalf.
Quizia is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will terminate the account and delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.
When using Quizia, you agree not to:
You can report a player from their profile and block players you do not want to hear from. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these rules, including account suspension or permanent termination.
Your ELO ratings, experience points (XP), levels, achievements, win/loss records, leaderboard and season positions, in-game currency ("Owls"), cosmetic items (avatars, frames), streaks, chests, quest rewards, and all other in-game metrics and progress ("Virtual Items") are part of the Service and do not constitute your property.
Quizia uses an ELO rating system to rank players competitively. The following rules apply:
All content in the App — including quiz questions, answer options, game mechanics, visual design, animations, sounds, user interface, and branding — is the property of the Developer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, or create derivative works based on any content from the App without our prior written consent.
Your content: your username and display name remain yours, but by using the App you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them within the App and on public leaderboards (on leaderboards, in match results, on friend lists, and in search results). This license terminates when you delete your account, except for anonymized match records as described in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party names and trademarks: quiz topics refer to films, television series, books, sports clubs, competitions, artists, brands and other works or organizations by name (for example "Friends", "Game of Thrones", "Real Madrid"). These names are used solely to identify the subject of the questions. They are the trademarks or property of their respective owners. Quizia is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them, and no such affiliation is implied.
Rights holders: if you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, email support@playquizia.com with the content concerned, proof of your rights, and your contact details. We review every notice and remove or amend infringing content promptly.
By us: we reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account for violations of these Terms. This includes but is not limited to: cheating, harassment, offensive content, rating manipulation, multi-accounting, abuse of game systems, or being under the age requirement. Where the law requires it, we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond, except where doing so would be unlawful or would compromise an investigation or the safety of other players. Upon termination, all Virtual Items and data associated with your account will be permanently deleted, except the records we are required or entitled to keep (see the Privacy Policy).
By you: you may delete your account at any time through the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at support@playquizia.com. See our Account Deletion page and Privacy Policy for details on what data is deleted and what is anonymized or retained.
Discontinuation: we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time. Where reasonably possible we will give notice through the App or this website. As the App is free, no compensation is owed for discontinuation.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
Nothing in this section limits any warranty that cannot be excluded under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. AS QUIZIA IS A FREE SERVICE, THIS AMOUNT IS ZERO (€0).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by the law of your country of residence, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) brought by a third party and arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or of the rights of another person, or (c) content you provide through the App (such as a username or display name). This obligation does not apply to consumers to the extent that the mandatory law of their country of residence prohibits it.
Informal resolution first: before filing any formal legal action, you agree to contact us at support@playquizia.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
Governing law: these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction: any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the competent courts of North Macedonia.
EU and other consumer rights: if you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Any provision of these Terms that conflicts with those mandatory rights is applied only to the extent they allow.
Individual claims: to the extent permitted by applicable law, you and we agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. Where applicable law does not permit this clause, it does not apply.
Time limit: to the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim arising out of these Terms or the App must be brought within one year after it arose.
The App uses Firebase services operated by Google LLC for authentication, data storage, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications, and Railway Corporation for hosting the real-time game server. If you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers' terms also apply. Your use of the App is also subject to:
We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or practices of any third-party services.
If you use the App on an Apple device, the following additional terms apply. To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple's standard end-user license agreement for App Store apps, these Terms prevail where Apple's agreement so permits.
If you obtained the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and the Developer only; Google LLC is not a party to them and is not responsible for the App or its content.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Each new version is posted on this page with a new effective date and a summary of what changed in the change log below.
Material changes — changes that affect your rights or obligations — take effect for you only after you accept the new version on the acceptance screen the App shows at your next launch. Until you accept, you can still read the new version here; if you do not agree with it, stop using the App and delete your account. Non-material changes (corrections, clarifications, contact details) take effect when posted.
